Welcome to Spruce Street Nursery School, a special place where we believe that learning should be filled with joy and excitement when discovering new things. Our environment invites our children to ask thoughtful questions such as “why,” “how come,” and “what if,” providing a space for creative play and conversations of wonder with all voices included.
We believe that learning is a collaboration between the children and the teachers, enriched through play, in a space that encourages inquiry, promotes independence, nurtures kindness, and promotes social learning.
Our teachers aim to excite and prompt curiosity through individual and shared experiences. They create spaces that are safe to ask questions and affirm a sense of belonging. The teachers encourage our children to wonder, celebrate their strengths, and feel confident as they practice skills they are still learning.
